The First Research Paper

This is the first time I do research paper in English. Yeah! It is a new challenge for me to overcome.
At the first time, I was lost in a huge of topics which I wanted to do: Disney, computer, environment and game. Finally I found out that one of my favorite game has an interesting news, it is recorded in the Guinness Book. I was interested in that topic, so I decided to do research about that.
My topic is about Tomb Raider, a famous game over the world. It was turned into movies and got a lot of success. Because of a game, so not many academic articles and writing about that, it becomes difficult for me to find the material from the academic database and library. However, I got an advantage that many forums on the Internet talked about Tomb Raider. Gaming newspapers and magazines did, too. So I started my work.
The problem is filtering the materials. Oh my god! It made me confused to choose the sources, which are believable or not. Even though, there are vast of amateur writing about that.
If you don't know about the game much, never do research about that. It is difficult for you to know what is true.
And the statics about the movies, it is given for members of the websites who has paid for that information. I was stuck there for a short time because I had to find the date and exact sources.
It was a challenge for me to do. Eventually, I finished it. Thanks God!

300

300 is a movie about the fight of Leonidas- King of Sparta and his 300 brave soldiers against thousands of Persian soldiers of King Xerxes. The movie was made based on a true story of Leonidas; Also it is included some fictitious details to be more interesting.
Story about Sparta was famous northern city of Greece Laconia plain in the ancient age. There was brave king Leonidas who ruled. With all the attitude of his country, he refused to be an allied country of Persia and declined war against Xerxes- King of Persia. The movie was made based on his name which was raised to heroic status as a result of the events in the Battle of Thermopylae.
The most interesting is the movie is the fight of Leonidas and his men. The scene is so fantastic with the audio and visual techniques. The backgrounds of the battlefield in the movies were stretched out of the eyes making the audiences feeling it a giant battle. This effect created a contrary between Spartan soldiers and a number of full-equipped soldiers of Persia. That is a great effect in making war-movies which Zack Snyder-the director of 300- is good at.

Choosing a topic is a little bit complicated for me because of a huge of topics that I have to make them more specific.
At first, I intend to do research about Disney, but it seems to be too general and hard. Now the topic for the research, I think it must be related to my future major in the university. That is computer engineering. A research about computer seems suitable to me, that makes me interested than others.
I am thinking about choosing a topic about video games or computer hardware. Two of them are interesting, but the topic about hardware is so hard with a huge technological vocabulary. At the end, I make a decision that the topic about video games is the best. ^^
Because there are not many shows and representations which are about games. But my advantages are abundant of information and examples on the Internet. Certainly that I have to filter them for the best sources and knowledge.
I tried to use Gale for searching for the paper. Yes, it is so great for me, there is a lot of things to read and refer from it.
Finally, doing the paper can help me in the future: I will have my experience in writing essays and other research papers, and I require for myself the information and knowledge for my major in the future. Besides that, that is the Composition. I like compositions. ^^!

Barack's Speech In Philadelphia

Barack Obama made his speech on Mar-18 for the larger issue of race in President Campaign. This is one of the most important speeches of Obama for the campaign.
In the speech, he mentioned about the religion of Christian belief; he was honest in making this important speech about his religious belief.
Sen.Clinton gave her comment about Obama that she was glad about his major speech in Philadelphia, even he is her competitor.
The election is coming soon, Obama seems to be the brightest candidate in the race to White House.

Living in an apartment or house off campus.

Choosing a place to living is a problem for students at the beginning of the semester. Some students choose to live in the dormitory, the others want to live off campus. Choosing to live where also has its own advantages and disadvantages. I prefer living in the apartment or house off campus than living in the dormitory. These are some advantages of living off campus.

First, living in an apartment is cheaper because you can share with your friends the payment fee. Every apartment has two or more bedrooms, so it is suitable to share with two other students. The monthly fee you have to pay will be less than living in the dormitory with a fixed fee. The fee of dormitory is often more expensive than an apartment because you have paid all the living including: meals, living fee and safety fee.
The second thing is you will feel free to do everything you want when living in an apartment. You can learn how to handle your life such as: bills payment, buying furniture, cleaning and maintaining house. Once everything is managed, you feel be growing up and get more experiences. That is the best way for international students to be acquainted with American lifestyle. Even you can hold a party and invite your friends to the apartment without restriction of time.
Another advantage of living off campus is that students often feel more comfortable and more independent. We are often watched of the security unit when living in the dormitory because of the secure. The students who are old enough to do everything they want and they want to be respected by the society. So they want to be responsible to what they do and face with them. After all, they want to be more independent.
There are also some disadvantages for students to live in an apartment or house off campus. For example, they don't have enough experience to manage things happen to them such as: thief, safety, even managing the time between studying and relaxing. They are easy to be attracted by the bad lifestyles of drugs, drinking or sex. But living off campus also helps students to save money from the living fee, give experiences about life or make a more comfortable life. Moreover, it makes the students grow up for the future life.

After reading the article about YouTube Outage, I tried to look up on Youtube with "YouTube outage", "PTA ban" or something like that, surprisingly there are huge of clips about that, even something stupid.
YouTuBe is a world-wide service of Google for people to share their clips. Because the terrorism, a lot of violent clips were posted for everyone know about that. They use them with bad purposes for launching the war, riots and violence.
The YouTube Outage happened when the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) discovered a "black hole" with their system but they didn't notice to solve it. The PTA ordered 70 Internet services to block and solve the problem. They discarded all the anti-Islamic clips posted on YouTube. This caused a lot of problems for people who accessed YouTube at 1:47 EST Sunday.
According to the News:

Company (YouTube) spokeswoman Julie Supan said during a phone interview that she was unaware of any problems with the site. But minutes later, the company posted a note on its front door."We are currently rolling out new changes to the site," the note read. "We'll be back as soon as we figure this out."
I enjoy watching YouTube because it has a lot of information and entertainment. My friends are interesting in posting their clips on YouTube to share to everyone. Sometimes I look up many clips about the music which I like. It is more interesting when we can enjoy the music and video at the same time.

Last Monday , I read an article Backstage Pass magazine of Disney. The title is The Imagination Of Annie Leibovitz. It is about a talent photographer with her dream of Disney Characters Portraits .
Annie Leibovitz was born in 1949 in Waterbury,Connecticut. She is an American portrait photographer. She has worked a lot for her career of photographer in her life with many famous magazines in the US - Rolling Stone magazine , Vanity Fair magazine...
She has created photos for many famous people and mounted her exhibits.
Last year , Annie Leibovitz was hired to do a series of photographs of many Disney characters and scenes for Walt Disney World's Year of a Million Dreams campaign.

My Little Bird !

This is the first Valentine my girlfriend and I spent together. It is a little more special than any Valentine days. I and my girlfriend were classmates of the University of Economics in VN . But I got acquainted with her through the blog of our class. So we often chatted with each other and found out about the new chat-friend. Beside school , we went to the cafe to listen to the music and talked . I knew her a very lovely girl I've met . We got happy time together . I never try to find a perfect girl for my life because I know that nothing is perfect , even us. I believe in the love that I have had and received from my girlfriend. Even through we are apart now, but I always miss her and love her , and I know she does too. The time that we were together is too short because I have to go to the US . We will be together after I finish my studying. When we talked to each others , we discussed about "deal breakers" too. We all agreed that two of us must be honest to tell the other everything for sharing together. If one has his own secret that hurts the other , it will be terrible for us . We will tell each others everything necessary . That makes us more reliable.
